  1. zoinks!?! the people already afraid of Big Brother will have a hay-day with this, especially since this "targets" children. Cool concept that could possibly simplfy my life and remove one card from my wallet.

  2. Actually, aside from the Big Brother fears, I think having a system based on one unique identifier isn't the worst thought ever. Think about how many numbers you have associated with you...SSN, credit cards, cell phone accounts, any accounts for that matter, employee ID...least of all is the library card...Maybe they are onto something over there.

  3. True, but i'd much rather have libraries spend funds to keep libraries open, pay staff and buy books then sink it into "cool" technology.
